Selling Our Motorhome

Back in 2016, when the business was just 1 year old, we traveled to Maine to purchase a 1977 commercial bus that had been converted to a motorhome.

Why? Because we both had an interest in traveling, and taking the business on the road seemed like a great idea. We had dog shows lined up in Florida, Texas, California, and more, and we figured: why not just take all the antlers with us and bring portable living with us?

Starting in early 2017, we did just that. Brielle was only 18 months old at the time. Sam came, too. We traveled all over the southern/southwestern US for several months before we finally craved to come back and live, once again, over a solid foundation.

The next season, the bus needed some repairs that we couldn’t quite make the time for, and another year later, Eva was born and life just got busier and busier.

I just got the bus listed for sale on Facebook today. I have been wanting to list it for the past 3 years but just never got around to it. Last year, James and his dad did some interior work on the bus, painting it and installing some nice vinyl plank flooring. They meant to do more, but ran out of time before James flew back to Arizona (the bus is still in O’Fallon).

James did a lot of research back in 2016 and found a bus with a reliable “million-mile engine” that had some expensive mechanical upgrades put into it. Hopefully the right buyer comes along who sees the value and can make the basic repairs.
